Description
The TA007 Insulation Piercing Test Clip set is ideally suited for automotive test and diagnosis.
The piercing clips allow the user to provide the exact pressure needed to pierce the insulation of a wide range of wire types and sizes.
The clips also feature a rotating banana jack that prevents the test lead from twisting and keeps the oscilloscope in the circuit while the wire is pierced, providing immediate confirmation that contact with the conductor has been made.
Supplied as a set of 2, one red and one black
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I use piercing clips?
Piercing clips are used when you need to measure a signal on a wire that is not accessible at a connector. They pierce through the insulation to make electrical contact, letting you connect your PicoScope test leads without cutting or stripping the wire. For a spring-loaded version that holds itself in place, see the spring piercing clips.
Can I use these with any oscilloscope?
Yes. Piercing clips connect to standard 4 mm banana plug test leads, compatible with all PicoScope kits. For connector-level access without piercing, use the back-pinning probe set. Full range at picoauto.com.
